Assessment as Evidential Reasoning

Evidential reasoning has been used as a conceptual foundation of assessment. The author of this paper is asked to explore the re- conceptualization of the nature of the evidence that we can use as indicators of intellective character and competence (indicators of the mastery of academic subject matter and the presence of some cognitive skills may not be enough) and connect it to particulars for innovative kinds of assessment.
