Teaching, learning, and assessment are increasingly viewed as functioning in symbiotic relationships one to the other. Although each has an independent history and a separate traditional constituency, they are, perhaps, best viewed as parts of
a whole cloth, where parts are differentially emphasized at various times and for different purposes.
